Peppers Beach Front Bar & Cafe

now im not a professional foodie, nor do i claim to be - but we will review the amazing destinations in the world of food that we visit. we hope you enjoy

to kick off our first ever Foodgasim post - i wanted to talk to you guys about a little slice of heaven located in Gisborne.

Peppers is a locally owned and operated buisness set on the beachfront.
Peppers prides itself on its unique styles and flavours.

My very good friend Charity has been working as a Chef in the kitchen for a while and has been hounding me to try their food - so one sunny Sunday my best friend and i thought we'd take the opportunity and treat ourselves.

Complete with a talk through from my girl Charity, it was definatly an experience we will glady return to.

we started with Moccachino's as we waited - we are die hard Mocca fans and they didnt disappoint.

it's not very often you come across a place that makes such amazing coffee..

To move out of our comfortzone we wanted to try things that arent our usual. we ordered

Pulled Pork Sliders -
Slow cooked pork, apple puree, miso mayo, radish, endive, mustard cress

Moroccan Glazed Lamb Shank -
Single Lamb Shank, Warm Israeli couscous salad, almonds, apricot, parsley, orange & saffron vinaigrette

i highly recommend the pulled pork sliders - they come out as the cutest little burgers you can slightly see pictured in the back. the pork is moist and full of flavour.
now the Lamb Shank - although not my favourite, was freash and delicious. the meat fell off the bone onto my fork and the salad was one i will try to recreate at home.

so - when in rome...

what can i say, we had to try the desert

 Cardamom orange biscotti
(front of picture)
Raspberry sorbet, pistachio brittle, white chocolate soil
we would have been completely in heaven with just these dishes.

so we highly recommend Peppers food.
its unique, its flavoursome, the staff are so friendly and the ambiance is next to none.

Thanks Charity, we completely enjoyed the experience

so of course we ended this day with a good walk on the beach
to free ourselves of the guilt from all this amazing food
